Elephant Hill hit the mark yet again with this gorgeously plush, approachable yet stylish red – from a great vintage in Hawke’s Bay! Bright-fruited Merlot leads, with the ripeness of a hot year but freshness giving appeal and liveliness to this typically clean and perfect, modern Bordeaux style. Depth and satisfaction is here too – as well as fine, toasty oak – along with a really nice proportion of luscious Malbec – 40%. Another winner from Elephant Hill!

Very dark, deep, black-hued purple-red colour, youthful in appearance. The nose is fine in presentation with aromas of sweetly ripe dark-red berry and plum fruit with some nuances of redcurrants, dark herbs and cassis.

Medium-bodied, the fruit flavours of blackberries, dark-red plums, herbs and currants are bright, sweet and juicy and supported by supple, fine-grained tannins.
